Importing Negro League Players

I figured out how to import historical players by b-ref code, but how do find codes for Negro League players who never played in MLB?

going to need a different database as I don't think they are in the one that comes with the game

they are in the game 1920-1948

just make a historical game with minor leagues and look them up from there is one way.

also a list was made available on the historical forum for ootp20

I think they are in the minor league database but I too was wondering what the equivalent is for the bref code for an individual player for importing...

it is just a list to use for players you might want to import into your game. it don't go anywhere spec ific but maybe put it where you can find it

the file you import from ain't got no ratings in it at all, just stats.

ratings depend on how you have your game set up. things like the make bad settings and recalc/development and many more choices you make while setting up your game.

I guess I wasn't clear.

I want to make a player, let's call him Harry Potter. I want him to join the Philadelphia Quakers in 1883. I want him to be an all star 2B with good power.

Is there a way to make that happen with files that are loaded each time I start a game?

I know I can go into commish mode and add the player manually. But let's say I have 1,000 of these players I want to add. Is there a way to do it via a file that is external to the game?

nope, I do not know of a way. the game matches id's to import historically.

you might want to check out fictional with real teams and fictional players.
