O'Neal: America's Next Gen Hockey Family

Terry O'Neal- A 13 year old prodigy, from Abington Township, PA, who idols the play of Sideny Crosby and Mario Lemieux. HE LOVES TO SET UP HIS TEAMMMATES FOR GOALS. Though he plays for the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers, he loves the Pittsburgh Penguins. He wants to get to the NHL as fast as possible hoping to play Major Junior very soon.

Franklin O'Neal- Though he is 11 years old, he has the intellegence of a 15yr old. He is one of the best two way players in the state Pennslyvania. He plays up for his age playing for the same team as his brother Terry. He isn't as in love with hockey as his brothers, he just wants to use his skills to gain a scholarship to a great university.

Lowell O'Neal- The 8 year old goalie of the future. This poor boy has been taking clap bombs to the face from his brothers since he could stand. His goal is to out do his brothers and be the best hockey player in the world. He dreams of palying for his idol's, Tuukka Rask, junior team Ilves Jr. He currently just plays in the local pick up games until he is ten.

2019-20

Terry had an outstanding season with the Jr. Flyers putting up 91pts evenly assiting and scoring thoughout the season. For the next season, Terry accepted an invitation to play and train in Ann Arbor, Michigan with the U-17 United States Devolopment Program.

Franklin played very well in the higher age group putting up an amazing 84 points with the Jr. Flyers. Since his older brother playing for the U-17 USNDP, the O'Neal's moved to Ann Arbor as well. Because of this Franklin will be playing for the U-15 Detriot Little Ceasars Hockey Club

Lowell just played pick up and will continue to do so in Michigan.

2020-21

Terry had a very impressive year putting up 93 pts in just 27 games. Terry was drafted first overall in the OHL Priority draft to the Niagara IceDogs. Terry immediately jumped at the chance to play in the OHL and signed with the IceDogs. He tried to convince his parents to move with him to Niagara but they said no and decided to move closer to Detroit so Franklin and now Lowell could play for their Little Caesars teams.

Franklin had a break out year on Michigan, putting up a whopping 102pts in just 34 games. He was very angry when his brother left the family to move to Niagara as he was very close with Terry. The parents didn't tell the younger siblings it was their choice to say in Michigan. Franklin hope his brother does well in the OHL but vows to never talk to him again.

Lowell will finally play organized hockey this upcoming season as he joins the U-13 Detriot Little Caesars team. The real reason the family decieded to stay in Michigan was to save money as they plan to fufill Lowell's life long dream of playing for Ilves in Finland. No one knows this besides Lowell.

2021-22 (Family Division)

Terry had an outstanding rookie season in the OHL with putting up 104pts in just 47 games and leading the IceDogs all the way to the semi-finals of the Robertson Cup playoffs. His goal next season is to go first overall in the upcoming NHL Draft and to most importantly win the Memorial Cup. He recieved a shocking phone call from his parents telling him they were moving to Finland to further Lowell's career.

Franklin had another great season with the Little Caesars but not putting up the points he is used, just 92pts in 34 games. He was very pissed off when he found out that the family was planning on moving to Finland to further Lowell's career. The whole reason Franklin was seperated from his best friend Terry was because of Lowell this whole time. Instead of moving with them he decided to accpet a scholarship at Shattuck-St. Mary's and will be playing hockey at this power house high school.

Lowell had a modest year putting up a 17-9 record with a .903 save percentage and a 2.99 GAA. His parents did not think his devolpment would grow inside the United States so they decided to move with Lowell to Tampere, Finland to play for the Ilves hockey program. Lowell does not understand why his brother Franklin is mad at him as he believes this is a family decison and not one he made on his own.

2022-23 (Reunion)

GM Hubert Maas " With the second pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft the Seattle Sockeyes select... Terry O'Neal from the Niagara IceDogs." This was a great year for Terry. He put up 141pts in the OHL, winning the Wayne Gretzky 99 Trophy and the Red Wilson Trophy. The IceDogs won the Robertson Cup but failed to win the Memorial Cup. He is very excited to be the center piece of this new franchise.

Franklin had a modest year playing in with Shattuck-St. Mary's only putting up 40 pts in 24games. Franklin struggled playing in such a competitive enviroment like Minnesota High School Hockey. He finally made contact with his brother Terry asking to come to Seattle when Terry moves there so he could play in the stress free enivorment there and focus on his education. Terry told Franklin to tough it out one more year and they'll talk about it again.

Lowell had a huge culture shock when he moved to Finland to play hockey.
He put up a 10-6-4 record with a 3.37 GAA and a .885 SV%. The higher ups of the Ilves orginization are giving Lowell one more season to imporve or he will be kicked out. Lowell and his parents tried to go to the NHL Entry Draft but Terry never left them tickets and never texted them before hand.

2023-24 Family Reunion

Terry took the NHL by storm by putting up 92pts in his rookie year, which won him the Clader Trophy. Since he had such an amazing year he just boguht a two bedroom apartment in Tacoma, Washington after living with team vetran, Gabriel Landeskog, for the year.

Franklin again struggled in the tough Minnesota High School Hockey leagues putting up 42pts in 22 games. he finally convinced his brother Terry to move let him move to Tacoma with him. Franklin will be attending Life Christian Academy on an academic scholarship and playing for their varisty hockey team.

Lowell had an outstanding year with the U-14 Ilves team with an 14-3-3 record and a 2.75 GAA and a .907 SV%. This impressed everyone in the Ilves orginization that they brought him all the way up into the METIS league KOOVEE Tampere. He hopes to impress them even more this year to play in the Liga team.

2024-25 Franklin's Big Mistake

Terry had a little bit of a sophmore slump, putting up 88 in 76 games while also helping the Sockeyes reach the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He plans on upping his game this upcoming season as his contract his due to expire after this year. He needs the money as his brother Franklin stole a lot of money from him.

Franklin had another very mediocre year putting up 39pts in 23 games. He also ran into a lot of trouble at Life Christian Academy by being caught getting friskin by in the theater room with the headmaster's daughter by the headmaster. The parents, desperate to apease their son, signed his emmancipation papers and Franklin decided to move to Malbrough with the money he stole from Terry and joined the Boston Jr. Bruins.

Lowell played amazing in the METIS league putting up a 20-17-2 record, a 2.45 GAA, and a .918 SV%. He will stay in the MESTIS one more season to continue his devolpment and hopfully join the big club next season. He and his parents decided send have of the money he has earned in Finland to Terry to help with his financial difficulties.

2025-26

Terry point production again dipped again as he put up 84pts in 82 games. This was good enough for a 3 year $8.84 million contract and the captiancy of the Seattle Sockeyes.

Franklin had an amazing season with the Jr. Bruins putting up 78pts in 43 games played. Franklin was also picked 2nd overall in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft to the Pittsburgh Penguins. He decided to take his talents to Harvard Universtiy on an academic scholarship and will be playing hockey team.

Lowell had another great year with KOOVEE Tampere putting up a 22-15-6, a 2.66 GAA, and a .913 SV%. The head of the Ilves thought this was great enough to bring him up to the big club.
