1979 Cubs use only one reliever
This is wierd. The 1979 Cubs used only Bruce Sutter as a reliever. Only used 7 total pitchers all year(Willie Hernandez was used for only 9IP)
They went 92-70. Here's Sutter's line: 13-7, 1.15 ERA 77G(all in relief), 172.2 IP 0.93WHIP 8.13 K/9 I've never seen this before. Anyone else? They had tons of pitchers on the reserve roster. |

Well i have no minors and Relievers were set to 'Very rarely'. I've had a few instances where this has happened so far. Randy Myers threw 180IP as the only reliever one year too.
