Lineup is not saved
Hi Guys,
I am playing the 1973 season as the NY Mets. I set my lineup against rhp and lhp on the bottom of the screen. However, when I go to start a game, one of the slots is empty and I always have to place a player in a position. It might be the LF position or the cf position. I am not sure of why this happens. What do you think? It must be some kind of conflict on how I have the positions set? I was thinking, I am just playing as manager and I can't make any moves from the 40 man roster? a controlling and/or very successful manager could revert your changes to lineups and staff. (red color code on strategy screen and you can't move sliders is another effect of a controlling manager)
you can turn on a setting that gives back control -- think it's worded differetnly now but same location -- Global/Game setting .. look for something similar to "GM-Legacy" check box. if not, is it possible you accidentally enabled 7-day lineups and it's incomplete? check out that sort of stuff too. in general you can't put a name in 2 starting slots. i think there's a trick to get it to display visually, but the game will auto-sub to fix.. e.g. i've had a catcher as DH-backup and starting C and timed the days off etc... that won't work. looking over depth chart for an odditiy like that would be smart too.
