It wouldn't be an issue if we could turn off Challenge Mode. Failing that, I'd like it if we could do things like add a minor league level within the mode. I made the mistake of starting my save in Challenge Mode and I wish I hadn't, but I'm way too far in to start over now and I don't want to lose all of my league's history and players.

Can't you save your game as a template/backup your game and then start a new game as a "custom game" and boot up the template or backup?

That should get you out of challenge mode

Gotcha- seems like this would affect me, then.

I just wanted to ask since it is still being finalized...also simply because it's important that people voice their opinions on new features. If the feature ends up being locked for those not playing in commissioner mode unless owner approval is granted or AI decides to build a new stadium, it really loses its appeal and yet again worsens the penalty for making the mistake of starting a save in Challenge Mode.

My parks already have random factors attached and I don't care to change all of that; I mostly want cosmetic differences between the stadiums to make playing the games out manually a bit more interesting. I guess I'll have to keep an eye on how this will be implemented, as there's no point in upgrading if I'm going to be playing more seasons in the same stadium regardless of actual game location.

Nah, I've tried this and unfortunately it doesn't work. From reading previous answers about the issue, it seems like you're just plain stuck if you start in Challenge Mode. I spent hours trying to figure out a workaround to no avail.

I guess the idea is to protect the integrity of online leaderboards or keep people from getting free basic PT packs from achievements? I've always thought that locking people in CM is a pretty harsh way of doing these things, especially as someone who isn't interested in leaderboards or PT. For me, it doesn't jive with OOTP's overall emphasis on customization and playing the way you want to play. A permanent option to take a league out of CM is honestly my biggest wish for the series.
