Our owner is hoping for a .500 season. Hmmm.... I hope for better.
The Top Prospects list has been published. Our best is Jack Barry at #20. He made the rotation. We are rated the 12th best system, out of 16. The writers have us finishing 4th in the NL, 4 games behind the Cubs with an 82-72 record. They have the Athletics winning the AL. The #1 predicted hitter in the NL is Sam Crawford! Johnny Bates is 4th. The #1 predicted pitcher in the NL is Christy Mathewson! Mordecai Brown is 4th. For the AL it is Ty Cobb, Browns & Ed Walsh, Athletics

Brooklyn has claimed Johnny Lush off waivers from the Athletics.
They immediately placed him on waivers. (We are hoping he makes it through.)

The Superbas came from behind to tie the game three times, but it was Donie Bush's walk-off RBI single in the 10th that gave them the 6-5 win over the Giants. Johnny Kling went 4 for 4 with a pair of RBI. The big news, however, was Christy Mathewson leaving the game with shoulder inflammation early on. It looks like a trip to the DL for Brooklyn's top player. WP - Tom McCarthy (1-0) LP - Biff Schlitzer (0-1) Record - 6-3
