Satchel Paige
I am running an alternative "MLB" History. Started in the 1870's in OOTP15, and am in 1943. I have never seen Satchel Paige in any data base. Color barrier was broken in 1935 when Josh Gibson and Oscar Charleston were signed to play for my Boston Braves.
Has ANYBODY seen the Great Satchel Page? |

He's shown up in every version i've played in version 18 & 19. He is obviously in the minor league data base, as the Negro Leagues were created as minor leagues for the game to function correctly. in the Milb (19) database his player ID paige-001ler (lahman's player ID is paigesa01 (1927 debut year in version 19.)
In Spritze v. 17 database he is ID paigesa01 (1924 debut year) i know when i used Spritze DB, he showed up and when i Beta tested 18, he came in correctly. don't understand why he's not appearing in your game.

Negro players of the 1800's
What is the quickest way to download black ball players to seasons of the 1800's?

If you choose to use real minor leagues, even though there aren't any supported leagues in the 1800's, many of the players are there and will auto-import.
If you create a custom unaffiliated negro/Cuban league the negro and Hispanic players will tend to gravitate there. Lots of options is what you have, many more than I have mentioned. Try some out?

How do you go about creating or adding a segregated Negro/Cuban league to an existing historical league game? I know how to add a league to an existing game, but how do you keep it segregated with only negro/hispanic players? |
