Steam vs Direct Download + PC specs help
Hey all, I've seen a few posts but curious on which route to go.
Steam allows me to login to my desktop and laptop to play, but doesn't have carry over saves, correct? Direct Download helps the OOTP 18 team and add one Central available? Not PC savy when it comes to games. I'd rather play on laptop too so I can watch games/TV while playing, but not sure how well it can handle it. Looks like desktop is better option. Thoughts? Also can I do saves across both devices and go back and forth? Just curious on PC requirements - Desktop Video card - Intel (R) HAD Graphics CPU - Intel (R) Core(TM) i5-3300 CPU @3.00GHz Ram - 8GB OS - Windows 8 Disk Space - 1TB Laptop Video card - Intel (R) HAD Graphics CPU - Intel (R) Core (TM) i3 CPU M 370 @ 2.40GHz Ram - 4.0GB OS -windows 7 Free Disk space - 247.5GB |

If you only want to play on two computers, it's best to just buy direct from OOTP. The license allows for installation on two computers. Both of those computers should be able to play OOTP, although it'll be slower on the laptop. Not sure about how well 3D will function on either system, but you can always play in the traditional 2D format fine.
There's no "cloud" save, regardless of whether you go with Steam of direct. You'll have to manually copy the league folder between computers, using a flash drive or external hard drive. |
