As stated before, random placement had always been ruled out because there were teams with mutual friend connections that were excluded. Old TImer solved the mystery back on Monday. Daves owns both Auburn Doubledays (PemsGM) and Ohio Big Bats (ErieGM). I assume his teams were friends with each other like Atabakin's teams were before. We should still ask Daves to get with the program and update his friend list (or leave). But the Doubledays joining the league is probably negligent, not malicious.

In my defense, the Freaks weren't friends with any of my other teams. I still had Charlatan as a mutual friend from a league pappyzan was trying to pull together, and I didn't realize it until too late and I had already been pulled in.

Has anyone reached out to daves yet via PM?

On the results side of things, the Southern Southpaws have made an amazing comeback from a 3-0 series deficit to take down Woodinville Infinite Power. This means the NFTP title will stay within the league, and possibly stay within OL depending on how the series goes.

HughJass and JackHass are to be removed, mattingly said he was disillusioned with the concept of FTP in Perfect. So we could add SoDoMojo in, and bailey as well since they asked before chazzycat (also because I think it's better to have more unique owners in the league, if we have the choice).

The San Francisco Smallballers have done it! The Southern Southpaws started off to a 2-0 lead, but then dropped 3 away games to fall to 2-3. The Southpaws won game 6 at home, but fell one game short of pulling off the '87 and '91 Twins' feat of winning a World Series on only home games. That means the Smallballers have claimed the second NFTP league title. Congrats!

What a series! I had my doubts after losing the first two games, but my boys came through in the end. Everything just seemed to work out my way like that for me this season...the stars were just aligned. You don't normally cruise to a division title barely outscoring your opponents, but with a little +10 pythag luck anything can happen! And then Aina Hanna taking out the mega-whale in my path, and instead letting my contact team face off against their MOV-based pitching staff, that was pretty lucky for me too. I will give myself a tiny bit of credit for managing the playoff series...but mostly it just goes to show, it's better to be lucky than good

I couldn't believe how your smallballers decided to become Home Run hitters in the Series... it seemed like ball after ball went for home runs.

Interestingly, your team really showed mine the ropes. All three games that I won were walk-off wins. The last game looked like it might go that way too, but you eaked out a one-run win. Good series!

There is one whale, the Brigantine Bombers, in the AC, and another"would-be" whale, the Bremen Admirals, also in the AC. There is clearly a "pay-to-play" team in the NC Central --- the Hamburg Seawolves --- he is more of a dolphin than a whale, but should win that division. The reason I describe the Admirals as a would-be whale is that they have a whale roster but have not yet been in playoffs while in Perfect league. Perhaps he has been in the whale league and decided to pull out because he wasn't winning much.

The same 4 teams that didn't make it in last week also didn't make it in this week. I don't think this is a coincidence. The teams are:

I would ask that these four teams make sure they have everyone in the league on their friends list and make sure that they're using "Use Friends List" for league placement. If we don't hear a response from the owners of these teams by the end of this week, I'm inclined to remove them from the list because odds are they won't be included in the following week either.

Also, I think Jeff1787 was on the original NFTP list, and enough members didn't update to the new list such that he was able to still snag a spot.
