Bug with contract offers

Currently playing in the EIHL. I sent two contracts out to 3 Finnish players, giving them exactly what they wanted.

Sim a day, and I get these messages:

"I think you've got a good offer here. I would like to sign it, but the Braehead Clan are going to make it tough for me to do so. Look, I haven't ruled you out yet, so go ahead and put together another proposal before I sign with them."

"I'm a young man, and I'm on the upswing of my career. Why shouldn't I test the market and see what I can get? To be frank, the Clan have already made me a juicy offer. If you're going to match that, you better hurry up. My decision is almost made."

"I'll give you a chance to put something more competitive together, but it's a long-shot at this point."

The problem here is my team IS the Braehead Clan. Yet if I try to Negotiate Offer, it won't let me saying that they are no longer interested in signing. If I look at my offered contracts, they aren't even listed there with the team that has outbid me listed.

I have almost $1 million in free agent money and I have 2 out of a maximum 14 foreign players on my team so I'm not sure what's going on here.

This was bug was also around in FHM 2014 and FHM 2, it seems to be haunting me.

Could you upload the save? We'd like to have a look at that.

Thanks. Not sure if this is some kind of text reference issue or something deeper, but we'll have a look at it.

I looked at one of the players, David Fahlen. Can't remember the contract I offered him, but he signed with a SUO team in Finland for $69 500. I could have easily matched or beaten that offer (I have $500 000 for FAs).

Can players change their minds in the middle of contract negotiations about wanting to play oversees?

Not unless you're negotiating over the annual July 1 changeover (i.e. you offered in June, it's now July), so not the case here.
