All he has to do is set the 3D crowds to simplified. There is no link to fictional parks with just backgrounds. When I did the 3D crowds I redid some of the backgrounds and then deleted the folder with the old backgrounds.

I don't remember what the 2D backgrounds look like on the fictionals but when I finish updated historicals I am going to re-work the fictionals.

From OOTP17. Fictional 14 with background and no 3D crowd. These were before you added 3D crowds. I saved those earlier ones and have them.

I put them all in a separate folder and zipped them up. I don't have all of the fictional ones as you started adding the 3D crowds to them. That is why my folder was smaller. But, I do have them.

I have updated KC Municipal Stadiums V1.4 1956-64, 1965-68 & 1969-71. I had to lengthen the right side background because you could see the end of it when playing the game in the wide view mode even though you could not see it in the wide view I had set in the Edit Park mode.

If it's not too much to ask, what differences would one find striking or readily apparent between these updates and your previous submissions? Sorry if it is obvious, just want to know what to expect. Again, thanks so much!

Silvam redid all the 3D seating so that it looks better in 2D. I just added my backgrounds from the previous version, fixing what needed to be fixed by adjusting the background size where needed. You probably wouldn't notice these unless you compared them to the old versions. Most were okay but some needed to be stretched as the background edge was visible in the game. I added a flag to those parks that didn't have one and added day & night pictures for the park edit section. That's it! Silvam did all the hard work!

Good for him, and good for us! What would we do without the outstanding contributors in this forum? Blue skies, stadium crowds, buildings rising in the distance, distinct uniforms, logos, unique faces, names, the list goes on and on, adding life, movement, and color, to what might otherwise become a barren landscape. It can't be said, isn't said, enough. Thank you all.

Whilst playing a 1996 game at Fenway I found the background end was shown in the 3D game screen. I checked the other Fenways and found 2 others the same way. I have fixed and uploaded corrected parks Fenway 1940-1969, 1970-1987 & 1988-2007.

Whilst playing another historical game, this time at Cleveland, I found I wasn't happy with the way the background. So I adjusted it. It is minor but looks better to me. I uploaded it.

Adion: I noticed that several of the V 1.4 historical Wrigleys (post 60s, I think, but prior to the latest decade (present day) Hist Wrigley, which looks great), have completely "stretched and gigantic" buildings as backdrops. Is there anything that can be substituted as a background? Perhaps even substituting the modern-day Wrigley backdrop which appears in THAT v1.4?

Are you talking about Wrigley 38-78? I used the the OOTP background for 79-82. I only updated the three parks that Silvam updated. I am not sure which file you are talking about.

I'll have to check my game when I get home from work tonight...thanks for responding,Adion. Not sure which hist Wrigley version it was/is as I'm not at my computer presently. Whichever version it was, there was the same issue there was/is with historical Ebbets (gigantic, stretched background buildings behind the Wrigley OF fences...ostensibly the "houses" behind Wrigley in real life.).
