P406 - Season 2040

Hi everyone,

just a quick new discussion for P406.

AC West:

4 PL championships between the Kentucky Crowns and Cincinnati Redlegs.
But the Oakland Keys are not to be underestimated after going to the finals last season.

AC Central:
A few well known foes from the last few seasons (Meltdown, Alchemists and Suns).
Meltdown team is the only team with PL championships (3).

AC East:
Stone Island team is the only team with a PL championship (1) and
have a strong overall record (.618 win percentage).
Good luck to the other teams.

NC West:
4 PL championships between the Walnut Creek Geezers (1) and the Seattle Base Thieves (3).
But it looks like the Babylon Blackbirds are off to the best start (8-4).

NC Central:
The Aliquippa Quips are the only team with a PL championship (1) and got off to a good
start already. A few new teams in the division plus a common old foe (Titans).
Good luck to the Titans this season....hopefully I don't lose as many games to you this season.

NC East:
The strongest division by far with 11 Pl championships (LOLCats 7, Zorros 4).
I feel bad for the teams that got shuffled into this division. Good luck against the
Pedro/Schilling combo. You will have to face them against both of the two top teams.

As day 1/April comes to an end, here is our league update...

AC West:
Newcomer Kentucky Crowns have taken a two game lead over the Oakland Keys team.
The remaining three teams back by 5 games.

AC Central:
Meltdown team in the lead with Hagertown Suns, Rawdawgs, and Alchemists teams behind by 1.5 to 2 games.

AC East:
Bludhaven Robins in the lead with Springfield Spiders and Stone Island teams back by 2 to 2.5 games.

NC West:
Babylon Blackbirds in the lead with Walnut Creek Geezers and Atlanta Phoenix teams back
by 1.5 to 2.5 games. My own Base Thieves off to another bad start and back by 4 games.
Please don't make me go through another "Hail Mary" September climb to a wild card spot.

NC Central:
Kallisti Discordians leading the division by 2 games ahead of the second
Hagerstown team (Hagerstown Haggard). Titans off to a terrible start and back by 7.5 games. Yikes.
Time to climb back into the race tomorrow.

NC East:
As expected, two top teams are battling it out and the LOLCats have taken the division by storm.
They are off to a terrific 20-7 start with the Zorros behind by 4.5 games.
Strangely, the Zorros team actually won their 4 game series by 3-1. Unfortunately, they lost
5 games to the Beach Bums team during the first month including 4 games at home.

It is time for Zorro to come back and take over management from his automated rookie manager.

I know it is a bit off-topic since it refers to PT20 but I took some time with one of the kids and wrote out his PT20 team building story....and now he wants to update it as the seasons go on (since all elementary school testing is done on the computer, this was a good way to encourage typing and using the computer).

Here is the link to the Dynasty report....(some of your teams may be mentioned as he continues to write his story and talks about the various players and teams he encountered in PT19).

Zorro hasn’t been feeling well. Here’s hoping he gets back to 100% and back posting soon!

Last we heard, he mentioned that he had a very bad throat and ended up with antibiotics that made him pretty tired and sleepy.
I remember the last time I had a back-to-back throat infection. I felt miserable and barely left the couch & bed.

Take your time Zorro....get over this all the way before rushing back to everything else.

As other friends have posted, Zorro, our thoughts, and in my case my prayers, are with you for a hasty and full recovery. And buddy, just because I mentioned a hasty recovery does not mean for you to rush it. take your time; get well, and come back and win those 10 Perfect Titles.

just a small and quick update.

Most of the divisions are starting to have a top leader.

AC West: Kentucky Crowns (5 games ahead)
AC Central: Meltdown (3.5 games ahead)
AC East: Stone Island (10 games ahead)

NC West: Seattle Base Thieves (3 games ahead)
NC Central: Kallisti Discordians (8.5 games ahead)
NC East: Adirondack LOLCats (5.5 games ahead).

Wildcard race is still undecided (8+ teams in American league and 3-4 teams in the National league).

Heck of a year by the LOLCats... is their roster stacked? That's a healthy gap to a very strong Zorro team!!!

In 2.0 LOL Cats are stacked as well. Around a.900 winning percentage in Perfect. Major $$$ spent to build team.

The have the top 5 pitchers in the game (if you go by FIP):

Legend, SP Cy Young
Record Breaker, SP Pedro Martinez
Legend, SP Waite Hoyt
Legend, SP Walter Johnson
Legend, SP Greg Maddux

Plus all the high end Legend Batters to get close to .900 OPS.

Essentially a cruise control team.

He has five championships in total, so that would mean two in perfect.

I just wish I had an entertainment budget nearer to his than mine so I could just have a couple of those starters.

Any playoff updates?

I may well be re-joining the crew here next week with all 3 of my Gryphon squads.
