Player asks to donate money

i tried search but dont know how id find something like this. has anyone ever seen where their player has an interview and is talking about giving back to his home town (somewhere in florida) then the next day he comes to you and asks the team if they would donate some money for under privileged kids in the team area (in this case toronto) i had three options. do not donate, donate or start a charity. i clicked start a charity and then nothing really happened... it didnt announce on news feed or show how much i placed in the charity. anyways happened with Bo Bitchett today. first time ive ever seen anything like that in my 5 years of OOTP baseball. just wish there was a follow up to what the outcome was.

There is an update news item, but I'm not sure on the timing. Might be a few weeks.

I have had this happen twice in just the last week. I can confirm, I started a charity both times. I can't confirm the timeframe, but I do know it was at least several weeks, possibly a month, in-game before another newsfeed pops up.

The player in my cases (Josh James for modern HOU), and some guy I can't remember from the 1927 Yankees, were both so ecstatic that I started a charity that they basically said they'd be willing to sign long-term for a hometown discount because of how great an organization you run.

I never saw the financials for the charity, but I ended up signing James to a long term, below-market deal. I'd say it was a win-win. You may want to check before and after on the loyalty rating, I'd be willing to bet it gets a significant boost from the charity.

Also, if you find where in the financials it says how much the charity cost you in dollars I would appreciate it if you keep us posted, maybe with a screenshot. I don't have a tight budget, but I'm always looking to cut costs so I'm interested in seeing if the charity cost outweighs the signing discount of the player.
