This is sad in that he was still involved in the game and growing it internationally and even at 77 he was still looking to the future and what the sport will look like 5-10-15 years from now.
Like everyone who had a lot of power for a long time he had his good and bad moments. But professional basketball grew leaps and bounds in the time that he oversaw it. It went from being shown on tape delay and an after thought and a sport that was 'too black' to the second most popular sport in the world. |
