Yes, the intent was exactly as QuantaCondor specified... that we would be on a relatively flat playing field. The reason for not excluding people who might have put a small amount of money into the game was to not penalize people who might have spent a bit early on which helped them get into perfect, where they would be outclassed by the whales. I had seen a number of postings from those people that got into perfect in the early seasons after spending a bit but were losing interest fast.

Season results:
Total Records: 1) 81-81 (.500), California Quantum Condors (OL) 2) 67-95 (.414), Minneapolis Gauchos 3) 66-96 (.407), Durham Devil Dogs 4) 65-97 (.401), Cigar City Lagers 5) 63-99 (.389), Aina Haina Parakeets (OL) 6) 61-101 (.377), Battery Point Energizer Bunnies (OL) 7) 60-102 (.370), Bold Strategy Cottons (OL) 8) 58-104 (.358), Kaneohe Mokes (OL) 9) 53-109 (.327), Minnesota Bold North 10) 51-111 (.315), Washington Monuments 11) 49-113 (.302), Weston Pointe Caspers 12) 48-114 (.296), New Haven Blue Bulls The California Quantum Condors managed to snag a .500 record, despite two other teams in that division going at 110+ wins each. We also all managed to avoid relegation all the way through (we had 3rd to last thru 6th to last, so it was close!). But overall, a good thing for the coming weeks for all of us to stay together. NFTP League Records: 1) 47-26 (0.644), California Quantum Condors (OL) 2) 22-15 (0.595), Washington Monuments 3) 40-28 (0.588), Minneapolis Gauchos 4) 25-18 (0.581), Bold Strategy Cottons (OL) 5) 29-21 (0.580), Cigar City Lagers 6) 35-37 (0.486), Minneapolis Bold North 7) 31-37 (0.456), Weston Pointe Caspers 8) 22-27 (0.449), Durham Devil Dogs 9) 19-25 (0.432), New Haven Blue Bulls 10) 29-40 (0.420), Kaneohe Mokes (OL) 11) 21-31 (0.404), Aina Haina Parakeets (OL) 12) 28-43 (0.394), Battery Point Energizer Bunnies (OL) A clean sweep by the CQC, which is impressive considering the roster runs only a single diamond cheap-ish diamond and none of the 20k+ PP gold cards like Maddux or Ichiro. There is hope in the F2P approach! Interesting Stats: -The average number of games played by NFTP teams against each other is 60. -The largest number of games a team played within NFTP was the California Quantum Condors (73), followed closely by the Minnesota Bold North (72) and the Battery Point Energizer Bunnies (71). CQC loved the extra games and made the most of it, but BP underperformed, winning at almost the same percentage as in their games against whales. -The most lopsided season matchup was the Minneapolis Gauchos vs. the Kaneohe Mokes, which went a backbreaking 16-3 in favor of the Gauchos. Several series had close rivalries, including 10-9 season matches including the Energizer Bunnies over Bold North, the Cottons over Blue Bulls, and the Devils Dogs over Parakeets. -The league's best individual player achievement: Wade Boggs (87) of Aina Haina won the Perfect .415 league batting title. His average of .348 was just barely enough to beat out perfect Wade Boggs (100) at .346. Everyone loves an underdog story. -Bob Feller (92) led the league in K/9 with 10.4... and also led the league in BB/9 with 11.3 (2nd in HP/9). In fact, his league leading 209 walks was a margin of 60 walks over 2nd place. Bob shoots the ball out of a cannon in the general direction of the plate, whether it's a ball or strike is irrelevant his pitching approach. Maybe not so good an idea at -0.5 WAR Bob...

Is there any way I can get added? I'm "sooner333" and my team is Norman Supercells. I somewhat surprisingly made my league championship series in Diamond. I have spent no money on my team.

Ok, updated list:
HomeOfTheBraves
Threnodas Charlatan QuantaCon QuantaCondor QuantumCondor OMGPuppies CigarsAndBeer KWhit MiloWindby OMGPuppies13 Malormur Jeng Threnodas18 Jeff1787 Traveller79 JDB79 Mammoth_Mayhem Atabakin3 sooner333 ErieGM If you look at the size of the list you will see that we are 21. If all those teams are in perfect next year, there won't be much room for whales! Everyone, make sure the above names are on your friends list, and you have settings set to be matched up with friends. See you next season!

looks like we got paired with db-dolphins again (like two seasons ago). Still... that is a LOT better than db-whales, like last season. And since we are 22-strong, there has to be at least two of us that make the playoffs. I do see that coachlen made it.

Yeah I'm not quite a top of the line whale, but I somehow got dragged in for a second trip with the OL/NFTP. I'll clear out my friends list before next week in case there was overlap with an NFTP team because it's not fair to the rest of you guys (including my other two teams).

cute... mattingly, great name JachHass...
Now that we have so many teams in our NFTP league, could everyone who isn't OL (Our League), which already has the OL postfix, add the -NFTP postfix to their name? It really helps when identifying who is whom. You can see an example in my signature below for the Caspers.
