Party like it's 2043!!! General League Talk...

Switched things up this week to see some new competition again and kept my three teams together. Enjoyed the forum league so will likely go back next week. But ended up in P410 this week. Instead of 39 Perfect WS titles, this league has 12. And my Blues and Chernobyl Meltdown have half of those. Which usually means nothing at the end of the year.

However off to a rockin' start. Blues 16-4, Gold 14-6, Red 12-7.

Where is everybody at this week?

My Nats team is 12-8 in Gold, and Pedro just had a no-hitter, and 2 starts later had a hi-def inning (4k's in 1IP). Those 2 achievements netted 4k PP

In P408 the Yaks started 6-6 but have rebounded to 16-9 to take a 2 game lead in the NC East.

Strangely enough the 4 strikeout inning netted 2500pp and the no hitter netted 1500pp. Lol 1 inning got 1k more than a no hitter?

In sure it's more rare but it's based far more on luck than a no hitter...

I still play my 3 teams, may as well update here occasionally to see who else is keeping the old school teams going

My D390 team made up of all players prior to 2010 is 14-12 so far. I have 2 Diamond titles but once I get to Perfect, I am usually relegated after 2 years or so. Will get my 2000th win this year.

My D392 team made up of packs only is 12-15 so far. I have 2 Gold titles but can't get that success in higher leagues. This morning I pulled a perfect Randy Johnson, would love to get a Diamond title.

My G341 team made up of all Giants and A's players is 12-13 so far. 1 Bronze title, much harder to improve the team. It now takes a 25,000 player for me to add them and there are so few Giants and A's at that level, it takes years to gets enough points to improve, so I think I am Gold level for a while.

I had Mark McGwire hit 2 grand slams in 1 game and got 0 points for it. Only happened 12 times in history.....figured that would be worth a few packs.

Both of my teams are at .500 to start the 2043 season. Port Washington Pack Rats are 13-13 in D376 and Hoboken Zephyrs are 14-14 in P405. More or less where I expected these teams to be based on past performance. Hoping the Pack Rats turn it on in the coming days now that they have Live Kershaw replacing Jim Bunning in the rotation.

A look at end-of-May standings for P410...

Blue and Gold Gryphs leading NC West and Central, Reds falling off the pace in the AC West. Chernobyl and the Cinci Redlegs looking real strong in the AC.

P416 with Zorro, Orcin, NY Titans, Silver Pirates, ...

Only 35 PL champs in the league.

oh ya, thats why i turned off the use friends feature in 2019. I kept being stuck in their division. My win totals have gone up double digits since then.

It's almost as if the game decided to put us all together for old time's sake.

Thanks to all of the good teams being in the same leagues, the Hoboken Zephyrs are currently in the mix for a playoff spot in P405, sitting at 45-38 and playing even with their Pythag record.

The Port Washington Pack Rats are struggling in D376, sitting at 36-44, but recent pack ripping brought in Len Barker to bolster the starting rotation.

D390 is sitting at 36-43, D392 is at 40-40 and G341 is 39-42. About as mediocre as possible.

Gotta say this week has been a good one for the Gryph teams. Never would have expected Red to be competing like they are this week, battling back from 4th to 2nd in the division and being in the wild card race this late. And Blue is having a solid season for sure, and Gold is leading their division too. P410 may not have 39 Perfect Titles, but still some very solid teams. So to have my teams ranked 1st 2nd and 7th in the power rankings is pretty darn cool.

Going to be a fun one here, as both my teams have shots at the playoffs. The Port Washington Pack Rats have emerged from the depths and are now 67-66 in D376, leaving them 5 games out of the WC. Probably going to need 20 wins to get the job done. A tall order, but not out of the realm of possibility.

The Hoboken Zephyrs sit at 71-63 in P405, just a half game out of the division lead thanks to a recent 3-game sweep of the division leader and 1 game back of the WC. They're gonna have a tough go this last month of the season, playing most of their games against teams at or above .500.

Today, we finally decided to say goodbye to PT19.

With the summer approaching and our recent addition of two teams to the “Our league” in PT20, it is time to focus on just a single OOTP installation.
We had a blast following all the teams but there just is not enough time to track them all and post/talk about them.

Here are our teams if you want to find us in PT20:

Free to Play (Our League):
- Redmond Defenders (kids+dad)
- Seattle Endless Summer (kids+mom)

Main teams:
Soon to be renamed to Washington Explorers (dad)
Woodinville Infinite Power (9 year old)
Renton Dragons (10 year old)

I believe I know most of your teams in PT20 but just in case, feel free to list them so we know who to look for.
I hope all of you will also join the Free to play “Our league” group & discussion.

Zorro, I hope all is ok and to see you down the road in PT20/21 as well. I will miss the battles with your team.
