18 team gold league

I'm in a gold league with only 18 teams. I hope breakdown for promotion relegation is not still 16/2.

If 16 get promoted and 2 get relegated then the league will dissolve. That's ONE way to take care of a league with an unusual number of teams!

If you click on your league in the Universe honeycomb (I don't know what it's called for real but it's the chart that shows all the leagues) does it say your league has 16 up and 2 down?

I finished 58-104 good enough for 16th place. I hope I am not going to diamond.

You are posting in the Perfect Team 20 forum, but there is no gold level in PT20.

Yes there is. Last week silver was the highest, now gold is, next week diamond...

In that case, why not look at the pro/rel standings?

Because some things in PT are not explained well. I had no idea it was there until a couple days ago. Because you know something doesn't necessarily make it common knowledge.

For the OP, if you want to see if you'll get relegated, go to the League Standing and check the Pro/Rel tab, it should show next to the teams which ones get promoted and which ones get relegated.

I was promoted. I am going to be the worst diamond team ever.

Sorry to hear.
Whatever you do, don't tank on purpose. Even if you had no business being promoted in the first place, that can get you banned.

No I will not tank. In fact I plan on staying at the diamond level.

I'm sure for many people, team promotion will simply expose your team's flaws. Use the experience to critically analyze what's working and what's not working, and fix the stuff that's broke!

Good luck.

They got promoted after going 58-104, and you're worried about them tanking? How would you even be able to tell?

We both know some people have been frothing at the mouth around here for a lot less than a sub optimal lineup in diamond because they are so afraid someone else is going to get a few more PP than them. We also know promoting people too fast in 19 led to issues with people feeling like they had no choice but to spend hundreds of dollars or sacrifice a newborn baby unicorn under a full blue moon to get relagated, which led to some people to try and tank out of sheer frustration (which is not acceptable).

Was just trying to be proactive, but it seems it is pointless since they are going to try and compete anyway. /shrug

Completely agree.

I had a nice run in silver in week one and a nice run in gold last week. My prize is moving into diamond this week. Just with a quick look at teams in my division I am going to get spanked. So I am going to make no "moves" this season just to analyze what things I can do to improve each season and avoid relegation. I don't consider it tanking since I have a quality team-just no 100's. My owner goal is to finish at .500
