Settings for a Certain Year... Are They Accurate Historically?

I am starting my league in 1950.

If I set 1950 as the year to import the settings, will they be accurate historically.

My main concern is fielding averages... they should be about .975 in 1950.

Team Batting Average should be about .265... and team ERA should be about 4.25... or somewhere near these numbers.

Can I expect numbers like this if I select 1950 in the settings?

I only play Historical years.
I have started games(Years) from 1882 to 1975.
I have never started a game beyond 1975.
In my opinion, the years I play out, stats wise, are pretty close to the actual figures.
I have played this way since 2008.

Thank you, you seem to know what you are talking about.

I think I can start my league now with confidence.

Much appreciate your reply.

Have not played 1975 but is season that I have played the stats eems pretty close. Total home Runs and runs score might be just a little low but reasonable.

Fairly close is fine... just want them to be in the ballpark (pun intended).
