Overview

The Continental Baseball league is an OOTP 15 simulation using Minor League Teams and Major League Players. The CBL is a league created to allow GMs the possibility to draft their own team while still maintaining a sense of realism with modern day players. By using only 18 members the league will maintain that close knit community that will allow for a more personable experience. The league will require GMs to stay active on chat and through periodically posting of blogs on the site. The league is all about interacting so if you are a GM that just exports and does not have the time to get on the forums and chat then then this league may not be for you.

What we are looking for?

We need a GM that would consider this league as their main league. Someone who would invest in their team and take the league seriously. While blogging is not required, we strongly encourage it. We also encourage GM's to chat during live sims.

If you are an active and engaged GM this a wonderful league for you to consider. Most GM's stop in everyday to trade, banter, and to watch the live action. Fun group.

We have an opening as a great GM had to step down due to personal issues. The team is the Atloona Curve (Home Page). They have had some tough times but really seem to be rising with lots of young talent, and with some good GMing you could turn it around.

We want a GM with online experience in OOTP, but who can focus on the league and come to our chatroom often. It would be nice, but not needed, if you were willing to blog on our beautiful site, Continental Baseball League - An Out of the Park Online Baseball League

Altoona can be nice for someone who is like me and likes building! 2 Very good pitching prospects and a decent minor league system.

Our league is very close-knit and has a great friendly atmosphere; we like to joke around with each other. We have one of the best commishes around. We just switched to 16 and Slack. Livesims are pretty fun

Opening day is soon.

Currently we are planning to expand by two teams in the off-season. I am planning on taking an expansion team, which would open up Minneapolis for a new GM. The team is very good, and is currently battling atop the league's best division.

We will need TWO GMs this off-season though. If someone is interested in taking over Minneapolis following the year, I'd be happy to bring you on early as my Co-GM for this season and then give you the full reigns following the season. The other GM may be given an expansion team, or a long-term GM from our league may switch, which would possibly open up Traverse City (another very good team).

Hello fellow OOTPers!

We currently have an opening in the CBL, the Minneapolis Millers.

A little about the CBL, we currently finished our 4th season and JUST began free agency going into our 5th year. We use real MLB players but you're able to customize your home team (eventually). The CBL has grown throughout it's 4 seasons, we just finished a expansion draft to spread out the talent pool a little bit and to expand our already wonderful active list of owners.

Currently we are at 18 teams with the plans to expand in 2 seasons to 20 which looks to be the final expansion. The opening of the Millers was unexpected as the GM wanted to continue but couldn't. The CBL has very very low turnover and we do live sim Monday through Friday at 9:30 PM EST where a majority of the members are present and we discuss what is going on in the current games, league wide, and trade talks. This is a very exciting opportunity for a OOTP player to get in as openings to this fantastic league are few and far between.

Things we look for in a CBL member.

Active on chat (we use slack which also has a mobile app)
Article writing is encouraged, but not a requirement.
Knowledge (we have a quite knowledgeable crew and would like to add to that.
Ownership of OOTP 16 is required.
Be cool - we have a pretty laid back bunch but we are all competitive.

We currently have 18 teams, 2 leagues, total of 4 divisions.
Winter ball
interactive drafts
live sims daily Mon-Fri (3 days per sim)

I have been playing OOTP for a very long time, have been in quite a few online leagues and have run my own in the past.

I was hesitant in the beginning about joining a non 30 man MLB league but I am sooooo glad I did.

Tim the commish does an EXCELLENT job and he really does open up discussion to everybody in the league for changes or suggestions to make the league better.

Every season the league gets better and better and I have zero doubt this will continue going forward.

I am the current Syracuse Orange GM and I think every member of the CBL will be as welcoming to the new Minneapolis GM as well as they welcomed me 2 seasons (1 year ago). Great group we have here.

The Charlotte Knights are now open.

This team has an excellent core of talent. They seem to always be at the top of their division and are ready to make a playoff run here in "2018" Their farm system is currently 11th out of 18 and they have the #7 prospect in the CBL in their system.

Like I mentioned in a previous post, this is a very high energy league, great discussions going on throughout the day on Slack (a mobile and PC driven chat room) as well as during our daily live sims, which are Monday through Friday at roughly 9:30 PM est.

We have 18 teams, everybody is active and engaged we just need to fill this spot up with somebody who loves baseball and OOTP, if you love both, this is the league for you.
