Anybody experienced with editing ballpark dimensions?

I'm a bit confused. There are two settings that factor into how a park will play. Wall distance and height and specific hit modifiers. We want to allow minor changes in an online league for each ballpark. Should we focus on wall modifiers or hit modifiers, or both?

Is this editor valid for OOTP19? The export file types don't match. But if we changed wall height and distance, it will spit out the park factor modifiers and then we can manually edit those in game.

Not sure about the export file issue, but I can report that this utility works great for generating ballpark factors based upon your input (19 is a yes too).

Due note though that what it doesn't do is account for the league wide info requirement of each factor totaling 1.0. So, if you have a league where (for example) all parks have been generated this way, you'll need to determine the totals for the factors league wide, and likely make some adjustments to some to bring all totals to 1.0.

Hope this makes sense and helps.

Only park factors affect "how it plays." Wall heights and distances are only used for cosmetic (play by play) purposes.

Correct. But I do believe that the Parkgen utility does take these things into account (foul area size as well) when it generates the various factors for the park being created.

yeah, you can create factors from distances... or distances from factors with that utility i believe... it's been a year or 2 since i've used it, though.

the field isn't really an area of space... it's just variables that affect percentage of outcomes while plugged into a large series of equations etc. unless there's a tick box for larger/smaller foul areas, it's very liekly asthetic in nature. there are no inputs for that or options in the game screen for editting parks right? so, it isn't a factor, because it doesn't really exist to the game engine unless it's a new thing in 20 on that edit ballpark screen.

vsL and vs R:

con
doubles
hr

if not comprehensive, you get the idea... simply read the gui on that ballpark edit screen in game. you can also tell if the screen has to refresh or not, whether it is astehtic or important... click enter after changing Contact factor and the cursor reset to top.. screen make even flicker, if you have good eyes. it only happens for the name and those things above.

even the wall height is of no concern.. if it doesn't change those factors.
