Crashing to desktop

Two problems with this saved game. It crashes to the desktop on the next day, but also I'm stuck managing Sweden in some international tournament. I must have accepted that by mistake.

It may be related to the crash as I have not set the roster/lines. Mainly because I don't even know what tournament it is in. I can't resign because the tournament has started.

Help.

Yeah, it's the Swedish roster not being filled that's causing the crash. Easy to fix:

-go to the World Menu, then select National Team-Select Team-Sweden-Sweden (the top option)
-then World Menu again, and Roster; that'll open the (empty) Swedish roster
-click the Action menu at the top right and choose AI Assign Players, that'll fill your roster with eligible players
-click on Lines and then the Action menu there and choose Assistant: Create Lines to set your lines up

At that point, you can continue without a crash. After the tournament's over, you can resign using the "Resign from Nat. Team" option on the Manager menu.
