Injury Setting
Good Morning,
I'm curious what injury setting some of the more experienced players play on. I'm using OOTP Classic and seeing a lot of injuries to my pitchers (even when on pitch counts). Thanks! |

I've been on classic forever and it's still lower than RL but that's how I prefer it.

I always use High (Realistic Modern Day). It emphasizes the need for depth.

A question that’s asked very year but key to the game experience.
From recent versions at least, Short-term, high is the most realistic. Yeah, pitching staffs get decimated often, but it happens in real-life MLB too. I find in classic, it’s not unusual to go months without an injury to a key guy, but that (unfortunately) doesn’t happen anymore. That said, I think the game is optimized for Classic. On High settings, too many players end up being fragile or worse, and most players above 30 end up being pretty useless. So in the end, it depends on if you’re looking at a more in-depth game for the next few years or want to see how the league plays out in a longer-term sim where you pay a bit less attention to things. In the former I would choose High, latter Classic. |

I just think it forces you to build depth and look for talent everywhere possible and take chances on someone that you may not normally sign. |

Depends on the era I'm playing. I have a league that uses 1985 for stats, etc. I use Classic in that one.
For my modern day fictional, I use High. If I ran historical, early 1900's (I don't) I would be inclined to use low for the 1st few years. |
