Very Interesting.
I had a couple trades made in my random debut league that I found very interesting due to the players involved and the number of players involved. I finished the 1901 World Series last night and moved on to the first offseason. The first trade to really catch my eye involved a 30+ year old Matt Williams. Williams had a very nice first season in 1901 hitting 25 home runs. What made the trade catch my eye is, the team trading for Williams gave up 4 players to acquire him. Then a little bit later I see that a 25 year old Derek Jeter has been traded to the New York Giants with the Giants giving up 4 players to get him.
I don't remember ever seeing these types of trades before in OOTP. Pretty neat. |

Have you frozen your RD to a constant year? If so, which year? 25 HRs in 1901 seemed high to me.

This is the first time I've really tried the Action Jackson method of play. Thought it would be cool to try and use the real teams and financials and watch those evolve through history while using modern day stats and play style. The first year was a blast. I started 1902 last night.

Yes Action's freezing the stats to 1984 has me intrigued yet again, off to chasing windmills.......
But I am never sure which year I prefer might try alternating through a decade but the sixties are out I could not live through another 1968. Last edited by JaBurns; 11-01-2019 at 12:26 PM. |
