New Commish: Best settings for a 7 day advance period?
I've participated in a league for years, but this is the first time I'm setting off and doing it myself.
GAF Online Baseball League | GOBL I've run into an issue with trades. Most notably, it seems like traded players are clearing waivers during the sim period (7 days) before their new owners can assign them to their appropriate new teams from the DFA list. I currently have the Demote/Release players set to 3 days and the auto-play set to 7. Is this the issue? Thanks! |

Yes.
It's much simpler for all involved if trades are processed AFTER the sim is run. You can have a Rule that any player involved in a trade that gets injured will have it re-set. |

Thanks,
So what do you have the Demote/Release players days set to? |

We might be talking about 2 different things...
In Commissioner's Office, Release/DFA should still be set to 0. This allows you to run your sim uninterrupted. Under League Settings/Rules we have Waivers set to 8 Days and DFA set to 15 days. That gives everyone time to Claim Waiver players and assign DFA players. This is why you process trades after you run your sim, to avoid DFA issues. |

Ahh, thanks! I had waivers set to 3 days, hence the issue. Moving it to 8 days will solve the problem I was having.
Thanks again for the help. |
