HoF in historical game

In a history game starting in 1871, when will the Hall of Fame voting start?

Whatever you want it to be. It needs to be enabled first then select the different criteria from the drop down menues

so 'Manual voting' will enable it? Is there an AI vote option as well?

The AI will vote unless you turn it off.
I think you may need to wait until the "Waiting Period prior to Induction" is fulfilled. I have always taken this to mean the number of years before they appear on the ballot.

Just checked it,

the option is enabled just like on your screenshot, but there's no HoF voting yet. I'm now in 1877 (started 1871), so shouldn't there be players who retired 5 years ago?

I also checked which players will be eleigible in the next few years, but it says 'no players eligible' for every year. Anything else I need to enable? Or does it just start at the historical date?

Edit: Oh, wait - I think I know what's going on. It says 'Minimum service years: 10' - So I guess only players who retired after 10 active career season will be eligible, right?
