FHM4 - eSellerate or Steam?
If I buy FHM4 from Steam or esellerate does it make a difference?
I understand the actual game is the same but does it affect mods that are available or any other thing? Thanks. |

No, other than you can't use Steam Workshop. You just have to download and install mods yourself.

The other thing that is different is steam takes a cut and if I remember right, they get more money if you buy from their store

Yeah, Steam takes more. But it's a little more complex than that; the more you sell on Steam, the more exposure you'll get there - the top sellers list, better and longer placement on the main store page, showing up on the recommended list for more people, etc. So a sale on Steam isn't just a single sale, it's 1 + whatever other additional sales that it drives. An eSellerate sale doesn't have that add-on aspect. We're happy with either choice.

Personally I prefer to go DRM-free whenever possible.
