It's as simple as a roster "update" that's selected when the user chooses to start July 1st. So it's incomprehensibly lazy that this wasn't created and implemented. It's an excellent feature, but without actually creating a July 1st roster it's not a feature at all, just an incredibly disappointing promise of a feature that doesn't exist.
The entire point of starting on July 1st is to be able to shape one's roster through free agency. Is the dev team so daft as to think the appeal is simming through months of play in order to arrive at exactly the same roster one otherwise would have started the season with? It's incomprehensible how that wouldn't have been universally recognized and addressed from the very beginning of such a feature's implementation.

The point of the July 1st start is if you (A) want to do an Expansion or (B) want to have an opportunity to do International Tournaments in Year 1.
It's nothing to do with being "lazy" it's for those reasons that we implemented. You're free to voice about what you would like, however accusing the development team of being "lazy" isn't one such thing. Because this doesn't need to spiral out of control, I'm just going to lock this now.
