Question about trades

I'm running the sim with "Initiate and react to trades" set to my control, however I've just noticed that the AI has completed 3 trades this season to which I was given 0 notification. I only discovered it when I was looking for a certain player, and found that two others had been traded. All 3 were in separate deals and all traded for a single 3rd round pick.

Is there a setting or rule that would bypass the "Initiate and react to trades" option?

Did you use the "AI Setup Organization" option while you were very close to or over the cap? In that situation, the AI may move a player for a draft pick to give itself the necessary cap room to set up a complete roster.

Hmm... it looks like that is what happened. A player came off IR and the AI traded a player away to make room for the cap hit. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
