You'll need to bring up a player or two from your farm team (Eastern US Jr B), or sign one (the protected list screen will let you know which players you have the rights to but haven't signed.)

I'm stuck here as well... Sandbox Mode, 1st season. Bighamton Senators is my farm team. No option to pull a player up to the Majors.... If possible, would be helpful if someone could clarify:
a) what is the exact rule in base-condition NHL rules regarding why this is triggering a response. This would help newbies like me understand the logic of what the game is telling us. b) what exactly is prohibiting us from calling up the player to the majors? It seems that there should be a "call up to <YOUR TEAM>" option in the player menu when you right-click. It's not even a greyed out option. I do see a send to minors option when reviewing my NHL Team's roster. I'm also stuck at this point and can't see any way around it. Getting frustrated. It's not a real answer, but I did solve the problems so I could keep my save. In order to let the Assistant reset the team, you need to go into the "Manager" tab, and under "Manager Options" make sure that Roster Moves and Transactions are set to Assistant and not yourself. I'm still not sure how to better handle this myself...
