infield shift question for in game management

was most excited for this feature in the email but as I am someone who plays out every game, but would like this feature simulated (for instance how prior to a game you can select things like baserunning under human or AI control) - is this going to be possible?

I love the added realism of shifts and think their presence is now too large for OOTP to ignore but at the same time do not want to have to manually set it for each batter and would like the AI to handle it automatically for me in game.

Any help appreciated and looking forward to the game!

You can set the shift team strategy frequency, yes. The higher, the more hitters will be shifted in more situations, of course always taking the hitter type into account. There are 4 now: Spray, normal, pull and extreme pull.

Will other teams' AI use infield shifts, too?

Of course And the manager profiles in the MLB default league will be realistically rated, so you can expect Joe Maddon to use the shift quite a bit in Chicago, for example.

Awesome, so if I understand correctly, I set the general strategy before a game, play the game with defense "let manager handle" and I play the game as before but with shifts used as per my general strategy and without me having to select them for any given hitter.

If so, sweet!
