I think they're great... waiting for the day when the pitching pawn falls over when he gives up that game winning home run!!!

I'd like a Dalek option.
On double plays the lead runner could be exterminated.

The pawns are a nice touch. But, a neat addition/option would be for the color of the pawns cap (top part) to automatically change depending on the color of the cap each team is wearing. Some teams wear a different color cap for home and away games but the pawn's cap color stays the same no matter. Just a thought.
EDIT REASON: Oops spoke too soon. Think Markus addressed the solution here... http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...s-3d-mode.html Last edited by DreamTeams; 03-25-2016 at 09:48 AM. |

And here's the pitch... it hit him! The pawn batter flips his bat and glares at the pawn pitcher. Pawn charges pawn! Both benches empty and the field is full of pawns! Two pawns are ejected and suspensions could be in order.
Come on. You know you want to see that. |

I think they are cute...
... and I have turned off 3-D, as always. It makes playing the games too slow, as expected.

I really like them. They do the job well. I don't really need anything fancier. It is after all a text sim.

Has anyone seen a bench clearing brawl yet? I'm hoping it's in there somewhere.

I love the new 3D. I have always been a play-out-the-games type of OOTP player, but didn't use the 3D much last year because I'm so big into importing ballparks. But, with the animations, it's like a whole new experience. Very engaging.
Now, when we get more historical/alternate parks for 3D, too . . . it's too much to think about. |

Could there in the future be a possibility of adding like a highlight round up showing top plays from the league? I love the pawns but the lack of full details pbp put me off. The full detail pbp is great and fills me with suspense that I rather just watch replays and highlights with the pawns until full details works with 3d pawns

I've surprisingly found I don't really miss the full detail because I can see what's going on. I think that is the most pleasant surprise of 3D for me.

It's a great first step. I have to say I'm surprised by how well they move. Everything seems to be in sync.

As has been said, I like them and it's a natural progression. I'm waiting for umpire pawns.
I think they should all run into the middle if they win the World Series (maybe they do, I am still at game 10) A bench clearing pawn fight would be hilarious. but like fighting in the hockey games, probably not allowed by the MLB license. I would like my little pawn batter to have a bat though. |

Me too. I have to use instant pbp or my graphics are choppy.. so I have to try to avert my eyes on long fly balls so I don't see if it is a home run or not. I wish I could hide the pbp.
