Disabling the Injured List

I have been experimenting with a new league setup and was considering disabling the injured list - however when I've tested this the AI just leaves injured players on the active roster.

Is this as designed, and is there a reason for not removing the injured player to call up a replacement? My league has got financials turned off and no free agency so I wouldn't expect any contract implications.

I may have to go with a nominal one-day IL to lead the AI to replace injured players.

The injured player has to be on a roster somewhere. What is it you're trying to accomplish?

Do you want the AI to send injured players to the minors and call someone up every time there's an injury?

I have no minor leagues, they would have to go to the reserve roster.

Essentially what I'm trying to do is have no minimum length of time that a player has to be designated as 'injured', so as soon as they are fit they can play again, while at the same time keeping the full quota of healthy players on the active roster.

The 1-day IL seems as though it may be as close as I can get.

Ok, minors/reserves - sent down is what I meant.

Yes, you need to place them somewhere, so a 1 day DL should work fine for what you wish to accomplish.
