Your 2008-2009 Expansion Teams are:

Tampa and Nashville.

Nashville got a unanimous vote and I can't resist the Tampa argument.

Vegas and Hampton Roads, bitter make plans to steal someone else's team....

Nashville and Tampa join. Nashville is able to finish 3rd in its division while Tampa finishes 3rd...last overall beating out Winnipeg and Cleveland.

Washington, Quebec, Indy and Vancouver win the divisions.

Quebec beats out Houston to win it's first Cup and Quebec's 3rd overall (Go Bulldogs!)

Charles Eric Richard wins his 3rd straight MVP with 104 points.

With Vegas and Hampton Roads looking to feast on the weak the following franchises appear in trouble:

Baltimore 13,499 and the Isles 12,560, both low attendance teams playing near other teams.

Kansas City, and Nashville drew less than 14,000

Calgary with and aging arena.

VOTE
League officials noting a number of teams are in financial trouble expect 2 franchises could move within 2 years.

Who loses their team to Vegas? TO Hampton Roads? TO another unnamed location?

Pick Two scenarios (IE Winnipeg moves to Phoenix)

Chart at the bottom lists the bottom 10 teams in attendance

The Caps are killing Baltimore. Move 'em down the coastal states a bit to Hampton Roads.

2009-2010 Season Review

Boston, Buffalo, Houston and Edmonton win the divisions

But Ottawa defeats Dallas to win the Cup!!! Ottawa 2.0 now has 2 cups to add to the 4 Ottawa 1.0 won

Olivier Ross now with Montreal moves into 3rd all-time in points 1654 and goals 667.

Charles Eric Richard, 3 time MVP was traded from Toronto to Colorado mid-season but just falls short of winning his 4th straight MVP, losing to Glen Dowler of Boston.

Fans in Long Island, Baltimore and Kansas City worry their team may move due to poor attendance. Calgary worries a lack of arena may cause them to move.

2010-2011 Season in Review

Boston Hamilton Dallas and Vancouver win the divisions.

Dallas and Boston meet in the Cup with Dallas winning its second one!

Sloan Kardashyan of Dallas finishes fourth in scoring and after winning the cup demands his own reality tv show.

In the middle of the night trucks rolled up to the "Crab Shack" arena in Baltimore loaded up all the assets of the Baltimore Clippers and drove down the coast to Norfolk to become the Hampton Roads Rhinos!. Vegas and maybe others still hunt for a team.

Sorry for steal in your thread, but I will post it here that yesterday I won my first Cup in FHM 5 (not counting historical mode or challenges) with Avalanche in 2019/2020 season. We beat Minnesota, Dallas, Vegas and Tampa in the finals. I am playing in with challenge mode on. Only notable addition in the offseason in summer of 2019. was Jordan Eberle.

2011-2012 Season in Review

No more teams have moved yet....

Division winners were: Hampton Roads, Buffalo, Houston, Colorado.

But in the Cup Final Hamilton defeated Colorado, to win it's first cup!

Olivier Ross (with Minnesota, but previously with Montreal, KC and Chicago) takes over the all-time scoring lead with 1718 points at age 39.

Zack Flintoff, now with Quebec, but longtime Oiler moves into a tie for 2nd in all-time goals at 682, only 5 behind all time leader Tuomas Puttonon. At 38 does Zack have nother season left?

Dan Hoddell of Buffalo wins his 3rd D-man of the year award.

D-Man Jordan Bourassa, now with Philly, wins his 2nd MVP.

The Islanders continue to be last in the NHL in attendance. Vegas Islanders???

Hmm, the Islanders could always stay within the NYC market, but change arenas, like the real-life Isles did.

So you could maybe move them to New Jersey and call them the Devils. (Any Isles fans here are probably gonna kill me now. )

2014-2015 Season Review

Pittsburgh Ottawa Chicago and LA win the divisions.

Houston wins its first cup defeating Cleveland.

The Islanders are looking at moving from aging Nassau Coliseum. Brooklyn has a basketball arena not configured for hockey and Newark has an arena, but...will the Islanders do the opposite of the NBA's Nets?

And then there are the odd rumours. That there are people in places like New Orleans, Las Vegas, Omaha and Tulsa looking at buying the team and moving them there.

With Olivier Ross's retirement Charles Eric Richard takes over the all time goal lead with 755.

Ronnie Ford of Toronto wins his 2nd straight MVP with 113 points.

The 100th and FINAL season 2016-2017 Review

Tampa Hamilton Milwaukee and Edmonton win the Divisions

Milwaukee wins its first cup defeating the Islanders who barely stayed in Long Island.

Charles Eric Richard moves into 2nd all time in points with 1,732 trailing only Olivier Ross with 1,847. Richard now with Boston is only 36 and has a good shot at becoming the all time leader.

So that's it, I'm done. After simulating and reporting on 100 years of the NHL, interest had dwindled and this is taking up a lot of time.

Hope you enjoyed it. If we get to blend real players with fictional teams in next years game, I may do something like this next year, though likely in a shorter time frame.

Thanks to all who participated!
