May 1st 1937 Update
Other than the Van Mungo No Hitter in April, nothing much to report. There are 3 players that are looking for hit #3000, Tony Lazzeri (Phillies), Paul Waner (Yankees), and Goose
Goslin (Cardinals). Lou Gehrig (Pirates) needs 3 HR for #400.

June 1st 1937 Update
A full month of games is in the books for the season, with a few surprises too. Phillies Lazzeri goes down with a season ending injury, a broken kneecap. He will miss his try at his
3000th hit. In the National League it was predicted to be close affair. Nothing surprising there. But in the American League, the Boston Red Sox were the favored, but are in the
middle of the pack on a mild streak. The big surprise is the Cleveland Indians and their big start. Lead by Bill Terry (.417 avg) and Ted Gullic (12 HR and 39 RBIs).

July 1st 1937 Update
Dodgers' Paul Derringer pitches the League's 5th Perfect Game. Yankee Frank Demaree blasts 3 HRs, he is the second this season. Earlier in April Jimmie Fox of the Red Sox
blasted 3 himself. The Cleveland Indians fell out of First in the American League as Philadelphia moved in. In the National League, Pittsburgh is trying to hold off Brooklyn and
St Louis. At the bottom, the Cincinnati Reds had lost 12 games straight at one time, spanning late May and early June.

Washington Senators Report
Record 34-34: 6th Place 4 GB
Senators are riding on a current 7 game winning streak. Lefty Grove shines in June and was named Pitcher of the Month for his 6-1, 2.37 era effort. We released Chet Falk and
the mood improved in the clubhouse, 12-7 since then.

In the National League, the Cardinals and Pirates are exchanging shots at the top spot. As well as in the American League. Chicago and Philadelphia are back and forth with
a surging Washington team silently climbing back into contention. Paul Waner (Yankees) picks up his 3000th hit. Buddy Myer (Bees) gets hit #2000 as well as Joe Cronin (Cubs).

Only 6 games to go and it looks as if both Pennant races are going to go down to the wire.
