Is there any randomness associate with a prospects potential?
Hello,
Can someone here tell me if prospects generate a random peak ability when they are generated? A know a competitor uses this method so that lower picks have a small chance to be successful and also higher picks have a range of how good they will ever be (separate from development). I like the idea that you just never really "know" how a guy will pan out. I like the idea that a top 5 pick could potentially be a bust, or just turn into a role player... and also that you can find some steals in the lower rounds. It just adds that bit of "luck" and realism to the whole thing. At least in my opinion. Is anything like that incorporated into the game? Thanks!! |

If a dev wants to provide specifics, I'll leave it to them.
I will say that, yes, there is a random aspect to player development. Rather than fluctuations in player potential, however, there is deviation in the player's path to reaching that potential, so he may or may not reach it.

Thanks. It would be great if players scouted at say 3 stars have a chance to "prove the scouts wrong" or be a late bloomer and become an all star (turn into 4 or 5 stars).
There are lots of examples like this in the NHL.... it would be awesome if it was in this game. Thank you Last edited by Longshot; 02-02-2016 at 07:14 AM. |
