Thanks for taking a look at it. I know you guys worked really hard on the roster set this year, and coupled with the new features, it's really made this edition of OOTP the best yet. You guys deserve just as much credit as Markus (imo). |

Ryan Sadowski is genuinely significantly overrated.

Is this thread just for the MLB? Because I noticed a couple of issues with the Dutch leagues. In particular there is a fair number of players that don't have a date of birth and/or a city of birth listed; and the abbreviations of the dutch provinces are non-standard, which causes Noord Brabant and Noord Holland to both be abbreviated to NOO.
The most widely accepted set of abbreviations is: DR = Drenthe FL = Flevoland FR = Friesland GD = Gelderland GR = Groningen LB = Limburg NB = Noord-Brabant NH = Noord-Holland OV = Overijssel UT = Utrecht ZH = Zuid-Holland ZL = Zeeland If it is required, I could probably help out with finding out the places and dates of birth of players. Also if any translations are needed from Dutch, I could also help with that. |

Any places and dob's you can find for Dutch players would be wonderful. I've had real trouble finding info (dob's, hometowns, even height and weight) on some of the Dutch players. The team sites and general Dutch baseball sites aren't much help on that in many cases, and Baseball Ref is no better. I'd though of getting someone who speaks Dutch to email the teams and KNVSB to ask for info and did get a volunteer to do so but didn't get around to making it happen. So anything you can contribute would be greatly welcome. btw, the Honkbal Hoofdklasse is not yet updated to 2014 rosters in game. I'll be getting to that soon. Is there a way to have the Cubans players in the MLB have their Cuban national series stats in their history?
for example chapman, who is missing his Holguin years stats. is this asking too much? |

No I have all those stats collected, along with a lot of other missing stats. Still need to sort them all and get them imported though. So they'll end up in the game fairly soon, maybe a couple patches from now.

I see someone reported on the extra spaces with...
detroit__(vsl)_tigers seattle__(vsl)_mariners but I didn't see anything about these two having a space instead of a dash between ni and gun... hiroshima_toyo_(ni_gun)_carp yomiuri_(ni_gun)_giants |

In the Cuban League (Serie Nacional de Baseball). the game has the Isla de la Juventud Pineros, but I think the Isla de la Juventud Piratas is correct. Am I wrong?

Erisbel Arruebarruena. name is spelled wrong..it should be Erisbel Arruebarrena. I did add his bbrefminors id, but I didn't fix the last name..I'll leave that to you folks.

Seems most American sources have it split 50-50 on the second u but my Cuban sources all have it Arruebarruena with the second u. I'm gonna go with the Cubans on this one and assume they'd know best. EDIT: Check that, Peter Bjarkman and Clay Davenport both have it as Arruebarrena without the second 'u'. They're both usually impeccably reliable on Cuba. I'm now well and truly confused I guess we should just go with the one 'u'? Last edited by Lukas Berger; 04-26-2014 at 10:14 PM. |

I don't know if this is the roster set or the game engine, or bumping up stuff ratings for relievers. But, there are too many relievers that are striking out more than 9 per inning. In fact, the league's k/9 rate for bullpens is always above 9, with the provided rosters.
In reality, it looks like it is about 8 or so, according to fangraphs the last few years.
