Game unlicenses itself

I put in a ticket on this. I played OOTP XX, shut it down for a few hours, then loaded it back up and was asked for my license key. When I tried to enter the key, I got the following error.

This is the second time in eight months I've had an issue with the OOTP/FHM products and the second different laptop I've had the issue, too. It's also worth noting that went I've shut OOTP XX, it takes much longer for the database to save and for the game to quit.

MAC OS downloaded directly from OOTP and play offline.
Game started acting funny right after I made a trade-images
Player images for SF Giants acquired and whole Giants team disappeared.
Saved, logged out, tried to log back in. No options exist on the main screen so can’t get the data files to share.
Can click on settings on bottom and looked for license-says Eula
Doesn’t exist check the file.

Perfect team options on right seem intact.

I have solved this. It was an issue on my end, and I've closed the support ticket. My apologies for the confusion.

I'm having the same problem. Installed it when it came out and now it's unlicensed.

One thing that typically helps is to make sure to run the game in admin mode.

If you go to the directory where OOTP is installed and right click on the OOTP20.exe icon and then go to 'properties' > 'compatibility' you can select the option to 'run this program as administrator' on that screen and then every time you start the game it will automatically run in admin mode.

Another step would be to make sure the game is whitelisted in any anti-virus or firewall you use.

It also seems like some VPNs can block the licensing process for reasons we aren't really sure of, so if you use a VPN, you may want to try running the game without using your VPN to see if that helps.
