How to make sure fictional players don't reach majors in historical league?
I created a game in 1901 with no minor leagues but by 1906, I noticed that every team had 20+ players on their reserve roster so I created a AAA league. The problem is now fictional players are being created automatically to fill out the AAA rosters.
Isn't there a setting so that fictional players won't be created and just ghost players that can never reach the majors will fill out the roster? I can't seem to find that setting but anyone who can point me in that direction would be a saint. |

There is a checkmark so that it does not create fictional players. So you can just use Ghosts til you have enough players to fill out each AAA roster. Forgot where it's at.

The game sometimes makes fictional players anyways and does allow them into the majors even with ghosts on and fictional players blocked from appearing in the majors. Always happens early, pre-1910 or so.
A bug that bugs me.

It's a pain having fictionals get their muddy footprints all over your nice clean universe, isn't it?

Hmmm--similar to the question I just asked. The "ghost players" for a minor league sounds intriguing as there are too many pitchers for my Cup of Coffee league to play, and not enough position players to have a league bigger than 20 teams. I'd like to have a minor league for the extras to play in and maybe get called up, but as someone pointed out, I hate to have those fictional players get their muddy footprints all over my nice clean universe.

The ghost players don't actually show up and have no stats.
