Help me create a baseball Euroleague
The year is 2059 and baseball has split into the nationalistic USBL (Americans only generally inward-looking cities) and the global looking WBA (teams in major, global American cities, plus Mexico City, Canada, London, Sydney, Germany, France and Israel with no player restrictions). Asia has countered after 20 years with their own, high $$ league and now Europe wants to get into the act. I'm basing this vaguely on basketball Euroleague and want help thinking through what 12 teams should be in the league. 12 teams feels like a max as no other league has more than 12
Currently I have sure things 1. Real Madrid 2. Barcelona 3. Bayern Munich biggest clubs in most successful sports countries in Europe add another sport to their structure 4. CKA St Petersburg 5. Dynamo Moscow the huge money Russian billionaires promised means, like Euroleague hoops, the Russians get 2 teams in despite being the EU's rival still 6. Amsterdam City 7. Rotterdam Reds the baseball history of the Netherlands means they surely get two teams in the maybes 8. Marseille Olympiques France has a team in the WBA, adding a second here makes some sense 9. BC Milano 10. Fortitudo Bologna Italy is a massively important country in Europe, huge sporting success, and baseball history. They surely should have 2 hemming and hawing 11. Sparta Praga-Czechia has invested a ton in sports and is a sports-mad country. Geographically there aren't many teams nearby 12. Olympiacos 13. Panathanikos a huge rivalry with these Greece teams would be nice to add to the league, the history of great basketball and the Olympic touch makes Greece attractive but it is a small, poor country. Can we give 2 slots here, and 1 just seems odd 14. BC Porto-Portuguese side 15. Stockholm Monarchs-gives us a Scandanavian flavor 16. Red Bull Salzburg-the modern, efficient program that took over racing and soccer looks toward building a baseball monster in the Alpine beauty of Salzburg 17. Brussels Royal Guard 18. Donbass Redblack (A similar idea to Russia, deep-pocketed Ukrainian billionaires fund it) 19. Davos Stags (venture capitalists run a club playing in a tiny stadium but with some of most amazing support systems, training facilities, etc) 20. Espoo Blues or Helsinki Jokerit (Finnish team who have long background in Finnish baseball "Pesäpallo" and have made transition to powerhouse baseball club) 21. Union Berlin (a northern German hipster club in opposition to Frankfurt/Bayern/Salzburg in the very commercialized south) 22. SC Partizan Belgrade (the passionate Serbian fans make voice hearc, intimidating home field and Balkans get a squad) 23. Ankara Warriors We are already outside the eurozone with Russia, why not add in fellow basketball powerhouse Turkey. they are passionate about sports and fill their stadiums with crazy fans, why not try baseball. Could have a big rivalry with the Greek sides any other ideas are welcome, I want league to feel somewhat realistic and unique and am really thinking on which teams to add? major shout out to Isedelyod for his amazing jerseys! For kicks I will suggest a London team maybe with a small market and fan base because the new league would try to get a foothold in a country with a high economic base. Maybe as an expansion down the road.

Ah yes, sorry I should have put that clearly. There are already London and Glasgow teams in the wba and in this story this euroleague wants to be separate from anything UK

If there was a rivalry option in the game, I would choose the two Greek teams

I am leaning toward them...now wondering if I should add Turkish team as well. For rivalry purposes and they have passionate fans, love basketball, maybe add baseball as well

right now NY-Toronto is the old school on-the-field rivalry, SA-Indianapolis and SA-Vegas as well. Buffalo-Rochester quite hot also along with other geographical ones like LA-SF and Brooklyn-NY |

If you decides for a second tier, here my recommendation for german teams:
- Dortmund (Borussia Dortmund) - RB Leipzig or 1860 München (Munich) in addition to Bayern Munich |

already have a 2nd tier planned
Union Berlin Hamburg Roma Milano Sparta Praha Donbass (Ukraine) Fenerbahce Espoo (Finland) Partizan Belgrade (Serbia) The Hague Storks Antwerp City Davos (Switzerland) I can justify a second-tier of my worst league because I do have an affinity for European sports |

So did you consider making it a pro/rel league since its a Euro league? I have a North American 100 team 4 division pro/rel league that I modeled after the UK football system and I absolutely love it.
