Anyway, in OOTP, a set percentage of HRs are inside-the-park for whatever reason. The game gave Fielder an IPHR because it doesn't distinguish from "normal" HRs.

such odd things have to happen for it to be possible that even slow people get them on occasion. i'm sure it still is more likely for a faster player in real life, if not in the game.

All I'm saying is that I'm glad I play out the games or else I would have missed this gem.

BTW, I love this game and spend a lot of my time watching both the real Cardinals and Cardinals play out the season.

Is a set % of HR inside the park HR or a set % of triples?
Triples would make sense, HR absolutely not. I thought it was triples, so that usually only fast guys get triples and therefore ITPHR, but even a fattie can get lucky and circle the bases, video evidence has been posted.

If Bartolo Colon can hit a homerun period, anything can happen in baseball.

As of OOTP 13, it was a set percentage of HR. I'm not sure if it's been redone in the last few years.

Inertia is a great thing.

Warning on charts given to wannabe's renting houseboats near the St. Lawrence seaway. They draw red lines in magic marker showing the channel and write in very large letters, "BIG SHIPS NO BRAKES!!!!!!". It doesn't prevent idiots sitting in the channel wondering why that big boat is honking at them.

Prince Fielder actually has two career ITPHR, one against Minnesota in 2007 and against Toronto in 2008. That probably makes him the active MLB leader. I'm sure that explains the OP's joke

Freaky things happen. If you hit the ball in just the right spot say in Fenway or the big Fishbowl in Miami, even the most "stout" ballplayer can run for the hills. Or if the ball hits the wall the right way and rolls fast away from any fielder, a triple or an ITPHR can happen. I use to go to a lot of Rays games when they had Crawford and I saw him dink a ball down the right field line and get a triple out of it, and it never reached the short right field wall, it all about angles.
