201 Error

Hey,

I am a new simmer/co-commish for an online league.

I have recruited 2 new owners for our league in recent weeks, but both owners got this 201 Error when trying to import/export via FTP.

I am NOT a tech guru, not even close.

All I know is both insisted they followed the league set-up instructions exactly, meaning they downloaded the league file, extracted it, opened and closed the game, then downloaded accounts_gms.dat file into the settings folder, and I have no reason to doubt them since both had the exact same issue.

All other owners are exporting no problem, so I don't believe the accounts_gms.dat file is bad, but how can I be sure?

If it is bad, how do I create a new one and make sure IT works?

When you open your game are they in the manager list?
If so, then your accountsdata_gms.dat is good.
Just to cover all bases, you typed the file name incorrectly in your post. Is that a typo or is that the file name they were sent?

You can send it to them as an email attachment.

Do they have firewalls?

I just typed the file name incorrectly from memory.

It is accountsdata_gms.dat.

Yes, they are in the manager list...in fact I input them myself.

I just double checked, and he's there.

I would resend the file as an email attachment and have them check firewalls and anti virus programs to make sure theirs are not blocking the website.
