Four new openings for the BBR as we're about to start a new season. We've added a co-commissioner to try and avoid some of the delays that my busy work and family life have caused the league of late.

With that being said, we have a great core group of GM's and we just need to add some more active and involved people to continue the league. Carl Mitchell, the new co-commissioner, is stepping up to ensure that this league goes on. We want you to be a part of it.

Requirements? Just a few.
1) Yes, you have to export regularly.
2) Yes, you should visit the forums and participate regularly.
3) Follow the league rules.

If that doesn't seem too draconian, then please join us.

Keep in mind our draft pools are composed of players from across the different of eras of baseball. In other words, we have a league where Derek Jeter can play on the same team as 3-Finger Brown....just as an example.

The concept is what makes this league unique. The owners are mostly OOTP veterans, and mostly from long-time online fictional leagues that wanted a chance to play historical with a twist.

We will sim 3 times a week. Draft is just starting for the 7th season of play. Get in now so you can draft for your new team. We use the OOTPOU utility for drafting.

I have been playing online leagues since OOTP 6. I have never been an active participant on these OOTP forums, though I do read them. Recte however, has a long history of commishing and will retain a presence in the league, with my job being to assist in simming and some admin duties.

The most important thing for us is that the league owners be civil to one another and admins, and most of us have played a long time together so that generally isn't an issue. We want the league to be fair, and fun, and it's designed so it won't take up a ton of your time. Otherwise, what's the point!?

This isn't a rookie group...a lot of long time OOTP vets in this league....a good league for fun, as a 2nd or 3rd league, or if you just want to dabble in historical, and not a lot of requirements for posting and writing, but still good activity as far as the game goes. A low pressure league. 7 seasons in.

Our 2019 season is in the books!

The Minnesota Twins are World Champions, featuring Lefty Gomez, Frank Tanana, Ken Macha, Bo Jackson, Roberto Alomar, Micky Tettleton, John Olerud, and Brandon Morrow.

They defeated the Cubs....a team that has been open all season and run by the league. I've been trying to fill them, and now's your chance to get on with a winner as we are about to enter arbitration and the offseason, including our draft, one of the funnest parts of this league!

Also open: Texas Rangers, San Diego Padres...both were 81-81 this season.

Also, Cy Young is about to become a free agent in this league. He was asking $27 million per year for 9 years, and that was too rich for me to re-sign him. I expect his demand to drop in free agency. he is 29 years old, and development has made him a bit less than the all-time great he really was, but he's still pretty good. You check him out in HTML.

The Chicago White Sox are looking for a new GM in our league

It is currently our only opening

Spring Training 2020 is about to get underway. This will be our 8th season of play.

The White Sox feature the current all-time HR leader in the league's history, 1B Clarence Kraft. The name won't be familiar to most, as he played only 3 major league games in 1914 in real life, but he pretty much destroyed whatever minor league he played in with power that was very unusual at the time. He has 288 HRs in 5 BBR seasons, with 10 rated power showing on a 10 point scale

The White Sox also feature the one and only Jackie Robinson manning 2nd base. Because of Jackie owning 2nd, Tom Herr is the team's Shortstop

Orval Overall, Rube Waddell, and Carl Willey comprise one of the best top 3 rotations in the league.

This is a team poised to win, though it shares a division with our reigning league Champs, the Minnesota Twins.

The Los Angeles Angels are looking for an owner in our league.

We sim 3 times a week religiously, half a month per sim. we don't have a strict export requirement, but if failures become repetitive over time, then we will replace owners as we do want those in our league to actively operate their teams. Writing isn't required, but it is welcome. Most owners in the league are long time OOTP online league players who participate in other leagues, but play here for the random debut aspect. I would describe it as casual, but competitive.

The Los Angeles Angels are looking for an owner in our league. They feature Noodles Hahn, Ichiro, and catcher Joe Ferguson.

Off-season is about to begin as Willie Stargell and the San Diego Padres just defeated the Cleveland Indians (featuring Jackie Robinson and Dwight Gooden) in our 2021 World Series.

Arbitration is next, so it's time to get in and mold the team as you'd like. This will be our 10th season.

We sim 3 times a week, half a month per sim. There is a lot of consistent ownership in this league. Writing isn't required, but it is welcome. Most owners in the league are long time OOTP online league players who participate in other leagues, but play here for the random debut aspect. I would describe it as casual, but competitive.
