There are no home/away sounds. Sounds would play for both. You can have player introductions for just your team though. You'd have to create them yourself.

I love this in future game additions as well.
Seattle used, "Thunderstruck", a few years back for HRs. I thought it was such a perfect title for an HR. |

Just in case anyone is unaware, you can totally set stadium specific sounds for all sorts of events, including home runs in OOTP 21. I just recently learned about this and I found it pretty exciting news!

Yeah, OOTP 21 you can put in whatever sounds you want for horn.ogg and even can have horn1.ogg horn2.ogg and it will randomly play that when you hit a homerun at home. These files MUST be in your stadium sounds for it to work correctly.

Yeah, I have Harry Carry saying "holy cow" when I hit a blast at Wrigley I was however unaware I could have more than one choice that would randomly play. The Cubs may not use "The Natural" but it might be cool to hear on occasion.

If you would like a song, post below and I will make up like a 30 second clip. I am going to name them horn_Name_of_File.ogg PLEASE let me know if this works. I know it works on other sounds in game. If it don't, rename it. See my post with TONS of homerun songs for every single team in the MLB https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...61&postcount=1

horn2_rock_and_roll_all_night.ogg It does not have to be horn1, horn2, ect. See my post with TONS of homerun songs for every single team in the MLB https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...61&postcount=1 Last edited by twins_34; 03-30-2021 at 10:52 PM. |

This is in fact, wrong. You put home sounds in your stadium sounds folders. If you want to have different sounds specific to the other teams for when they hit a home run, you can do that just as easy by creating the folder sounds for their stadiums.

twins_34, As far as my feeble memory serves me, the option to have stadium specific sounds did not become available until OOTP 21. That post is 2 years old. You can achieve that now.

The Texas Rangers version in the 2019 folder might be a bit better than the version I made. However, you're welcome! So, Cubs fan because of the Iowa Cubs or because you live in the Iowa City or Quads area?

Actually started as a Twins fan 1969. Lived about 2:45 minutes from The Met and saw my first game in 1971. Played the White Sox, Blyleven pitched and was IIRC 19 yrs old, Twins won 2-1 as Oliva hit a HR in the 7th.
When FA started mid 70's and everything became about $ I lost some interest in the game. Didn't help that Cal Griffith wouldn't spend a dime and let players like Carew walk. Flash forward to the Suprestations WGN and TBS broadcasting across the country on cable and my interest was rekindled. Came down to I could watch almost every game for either the Cubs or Braves and I liked the NL not having the DH. Atlanta was better but the Cubs were midwest and had Harry Carry. When they weren't good Harry still was entertaining so I ended up watching the Cubs 150 or so times a year. One thing about becoming a Cubs fan is my son grew up on them and loves them too. He happens to live about 10 minutes from the I-Cubs ballpark so that has worked out pretty well for us. Seeing Bryant, Javier, etc come through up close was fun. Baez hit the longest HR I think I have ever seen there. We were parked way out in the LF parking lot and I was afraid the ball could have hit our car I still pull for the Twins too and with the new wave pitching am lightening my stance on the DH. Doesn't mean a lot when P's get pulled so early, with all of the PH they could just as well go with the DH. In the end I just loved baseball. |

This is giving me the idea to put the Jeopardy "Daily Double" sound in the Dodger Stadium file, because they do that there.

Just change the # sign in the name of the horn sound to a number.

I live about 45 mins from Principal Park. Have never been there but I am thinking this summer I might take my daughter to an I-Cubs game and also drive to Cedar Rapids to see a Kernels game. Took her to Target Field but I wish she could have experienced the Dome. Funny thing is very first hit at Target field, we had a foul ball go about 10 rows over our head and to the left of us. So she had a great experience there lol that and also she got to watch the Bomba squad hit a few homeruns out and see the fireworks, but I do miss the Dome. I also do remember the WGN on cable back in the day lol. I think in the morning they use to have Bozo the clown show on lol. BTW was that 2 hours and 45 mins or 2 mins and 45 seconds? Because I know in Minnesota, that could stand for both lol. I was about 55 mins South from Bloomington when I lived up there. But by the time I was old enough to head to the Twin Cities, the MOA was already there and I vaguely remember the met center. Funny that we are both transplants in Iowa lol.
