How To - Starting Fictional League with MLB Players
I think I've done this in the past long ago, but I couldn't figure out the best way to do it yesterday. What I want is a completely new league of 20 to 24 fictional teams, but I want the league seeded with real MLB players from the Quickstart (so they have their Facegen faces) so I that I have instant immersion.
One idea I had was to play the quickstart to the off-season, then delete the MLB teams (releasing the players), and then expanding the league by 20+ teams. But this seems too clunky. How would you go about something like this? |

You could sim to the off-season, erase entire league history, delete/rename team and edit league structure.
If you don't care about having the full minor leagues, you could start a 2012 historical league and edit league structure and rename the teams upon league creation. Last edited by David Watts; 06-18-2013 at 10:59 AM. |

Cool.
Is it possible to erase the league records (most HR's, highest AVG, etc) without erasing the players' career records? That's not a big deal, but I wouldn't mind having player records as a reference. |

However, I don't think the game gives you an option for doing what you want to do. If you look at this set of options in the League Setup, Functions menu, it looks like you can erase player stats, or all league history, but not league records by themselves. Try the last one, but back up your game first!
