Seen in a news story congratulating a player for his 2000th hit:
'My firends always told me that I will do it one day. I never believed it. Good that I was wrong!' Second word is misspelled and should be 'friends' |

This has been reported before, dating back to OOTP4 as far as I can tell, but here goes:
During play-by-play: "Ed commits his 1th error at RF this year." Should of course be '1st.' |

Seen at the bottom of an HTML box score:
"Jose Diaz sets a new season NLRookie-Record for Wins with 16!" Very minor, but there needs to be a space between NL and Rookie-Record. |

When players first come to bat in a game, one of the stock PBPs reads:
"In yesterdays game he was 2 for 5." It should include an apostrophe: "In yesterday's game he was 2 for 5." |

Haven't seen this yet:
Under the "Pitcher Ratings" in the player card, there are three ratings used: Stuff, Movement, and Control. On the screen, the words read: STUFF MOVEMENT CONTROl As in the last letter of 'control' is a lower-case "L" instead of an upper-case "L" Thanks for a great game! |

Speaking of, found another today: Seen in a pitcher's scouting report: "Ask any manager in the league, and they'll you they would die to have this guy on their staff." Missing a word. Suggested rewrite: "Ask any manager in the league, and they'll tell you they would die to have this guy on their staff."

Not sure if this is the correct place for this, but I have noticed when I click on a players card-players profile (pitcher or fielder) and I check out his pitching stats, it says in the top left corner right under the ootp logo "...overall batting..." I am thinking this should say "...overall pitching..." This may have already been mentioned before and if it has sorry to take up space. This would seem like an easy fix. Have a good night.

Pitcher and batter's cards: HOMERUNS should be HOME RUNS.
Rosters' HTML pages: Outfielder and Infielder should be Outfielders or Outfield and Infielders or Infield.

News Log - Player Injury
Gerald Hofman (DUB) will miss 5 weeks
DUBLIN - When it rains, it pours. Dublin's right-hander Gerald Hofman will not pitch for at least 5 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Athens where he left the field in the 7th inning. After being examined by several specialists the diagnosis is clear: Strained Bicep Muscle. In 0 starts this year Gerald struck out 7 batters in 6.1 innings of work. His ERA is 7.11, his record 0-1. This pitcher is a reliever and didn't start. This line could be read a couple ways. In 6 relief appearances,... or if he did make a start, In 6 appearances, including 1 start,... Relief appearances = total games - games started. Another flag to throw in is pitcher type (starter or reliever/closer). The last line (record and ERA) could be rewritten to make a complete sentence. ... struck out 7 batters over 6.1 innings of work, with an ERA of 7.11 and a record of 0-1. I don't think this is technically incorrect spelling or grammar, but..
Does it bug anyone else ootp's use of the word "resign". No matter how many times I see a msg from a player saying that he wants to "resign" I instantly think that he wants to resign as in quit the team or retire, instead of re-sign as in sign another contract. I know it's a very minor thing, but could you consider changing the wording? |

At the top of the Free Agent Signings log (accessible by clicking the "Signings Log" button during the free agency period), the title of the HTML report reads:
Free Agent Siginings Last word is misspelled. |

Not sure if this exactly the right place, but it makes more sense to put this here rather than in a new thread, I think.
I just had a PbP incident where the ball was hit down the left field line, but the RF tried to make a play on it. No wonder he couldn't get to it and it rolled to the wall! |

I would like OOTP to read the comments in a txt file, than everybody will be able to change the comments the way they want and I would be able to put it in FRENCH.

During a pregame intro in play-by-play:
"There is rain in the forcast, so the roof is closed!" Sixth word should be 'forecast'. |

some things I noticed
First thank you to all who reported the typos in the text PbP messages. I agree with a way to edit the PbP would eliminate many pet peeves (the foul balls are especially annoying for me).
Wind in domed stadiums? I have to edit stadiums whenever I start a new league... I also wonder about all the plays the pitcher handles in a game, actually counted 7 outs by Vincente Padilla in 7 innings, seems like a lot and very few errors regardless of the pitchers ratings... |
