Player debuts
When do players show up to be drafted?

I started a league in 1969, currently playing GM for the Baltimore Orioles, and Bobby Grich has not been made available either on my team or in the draft and I am in 1971 right now. Looking on Baseball Reference he played in 1970 and 1971, although limited.

They show up by default for their major league rookie year.

Early draft?
Is there a way to draft them earlier, out of the minors? I wanted to try drafting Di Maggio early, but I can't find him....

He will appear earlier in both the Spritze and the Gambo database.
