Batting Avg higher than OBP???

sacrifice flies count against OBP but not AVG, maybe your batter has a lot of sacrifice flies

I knew that sacrifices don't count against avg I just didn't know that they count against OBP though. Makes sense though.

OBP is calculated using plate appearances. AVG is calculated using at bats.

i'm not 100% sure but I think if you stretch a single into a double but get thrown out, you get credit for a hit but not as on-base

Not correct. The hitter successfully reached first base.

OBP is hits+walks+HBP divided by plate appearances.

I figured I might be wrong. But, I remember in The Show a few years back that my OBP would not increase if I got thrown out at 2nd

I would not consider The Show an accurate source of correct baseball scoring info.

It's better than MLB 2k was, IIRC. Still not brilliant though. What annoyed me about MLB 2k though was that the career mode had you play every inning of every game if you were a position player, which isn't at all realistic.
