Changing Computers/Email & OOTP

I bought OOTP 8 last year and upgraded to 10 this year... LOVE IT

I have 2 questions, here is background first.

Now I am tnoight going high speed wireless internet at home. (the son will now play xbox live and daughter is getitng netbook at Christmas so well need wireless!!)

AOL who I have been with for 12 years goesnt supply the service I need in my area, so I am swtiching ISP and this means email addy.

Now this weekend I am upgrading my computer, likely getting it gutted. Its been preforming porrly for a couple of years really.

Now my questions are around likely reinstalling OOTP.

I figure I could simply back up on disk the 2 folders in my computer that contain OOTP 10 and pop them back into the same paths with the new computer.

Question 1: Will this work?

Question 2: I dont mind doing a complete reinstall, but since I am changing my email addy, who do I tell at OOTP HQ so if I need the install key, I can prove I am who I am!! (Isnt the install password/key sent via email?)

1) If you don't have anything added or modified to OOTP other than a saved game then all you need to backup is the saved_games folder and plopping it back in to a reinstall won't be a problem. If you've added or modified files though then you'll probably want to backup the entire OOTP Baseball 10 folder (the one that holds the saved_games folder, for Vista it's in C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10). If you've done any skin editing then you may want to backup the same named folder that is in the Program Files folder. Maybe at least copy the receipt.txt file in that folder.

2) Just contact your licensor. I don't know exactly all that they need, but give them the new and old email addresses, the game and version you got as well as even the order ID if you can easily find it.

AndrewG, It appears that kq76 provided you with all the information needed to resolve this issue. I am going to recommend that a moderator send this to closed status. If you have another issue or question, please feel free to create a new thread in tech support and link back to this one. Thank You
