Free Agents all asking for Minor League Contracts

ALL Free Agents in my 2009 MLB league are asking for only minor league contracts...? This includes Ben Sheets, Tad Iguchi, Shawn Chacon and many other vets who would not be asking for a minor league deal.

Thanks.

I'm not trying to be a pain, and I know that we are not supposed to bump these threads - but I reported this 2 weeks ago and the game is kind of limited when I can sign any free agent to a minor league contract.

Any suggestions? Will this be fixed in a patch.

Thanks.

I'm not sure if that is a problem or not. Everytime I start a new game, Sheets is a free agent and signs a MLC. He usually comes back around mid-July or August and pitches. He did very well for me a couple of times and each time has asked for a major pay increase to stay with my team. I'd usually let him go and he'd land a big deal somewhere else.

Now if you are in the offseason with a number of major free agents available and they're all asking for MLCs, that's a different story.

It's some sort of quirk with that quickstart game. There are a couple of odd things that seem to happen with that game, but I don't know why and I don't know that it will be fixed. It mostly just benefits the AI, unless you also take advantage of the bargain basement prices.

Thanks guys. I haven't reached the offseason yet - so good to know it bounces back to normal.

Just to note though - it is EVERY free agent in the pool that is asking for a minor league contract! So strange...

Thanks.

I will check with the beta team as to whether this is happening in XI. As there won't be an update to the X rosters, I'll close this thread for now.
