https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE7VzlLtp-4 Done completely in Blender. Spending thousands of dollars on a commercial 3D package (3D Studio Max retails for nearly $3,700) would be serious overkill, especially for what OOTP will do at this stage. |

OOTP will let you import .dae files, and the in-game editor then let's you edit the ball-location diagram (which is used in the simulation engine) so it matches the imported stadium. After all the OOTP needs to know where home plate, the bases, the walls etc. are...

The only MLB ballpark I could not find a 3D model for is Turner Field. Anyone else find one?

The basics, though, are the same. |

I have no idea if these will just plug-in to the game as is since I don't have the game. This is something that would be better suited for a beta tester. |

OK, I'm at least able to pan around and check out the green monster.
Edit: I found another Fenway with a little more detail (second pic). Last edited by justafan; 01-27-2014 at 07:02 PM. |

sweet! most of these sketchup stadium are pretty simple, and IMO, what makes or breaks a model is the the time you take to use good textures. Check out a perfect example of what I mean:
Avalon Park by booyah - 3D Warehouse thats gotta be the best stadium I've ever seen done in sketchup. |

Hmm, I'm liking some of these parks a little better than the ones I saw before. Could a texture map of colored dots be laid over the seating areas to create the illusion of a crowd? It would kinda spoil the immersion factor to be playing games in a realistic yet deserted ghost park (insert cheap Tampa Bay/Miami joke here).
